It’s unfortunate that many people only remember Bobby McFerrin as the “Don’t Worry Be Happy” guy. Don’t get me wrong, that is one hell of a catchy tune, but there’s a lot more to Bobby than that.
I happened upon a great collaboration between Adult Swim (or is it adult swim? [adult swim]? Annnywho..) and Ghostly International called Ghostly Swim.
It’s a funktastically electronic compilation featuring some pretty kick-ass artists, and the best part is that it’s freely available to stream and download! You can also pick up a physical copy on Ghostly’s site.
Still not convinced? Here’s a video to further explorer the aforementioned awesomeness:
But wait, there’s more! Check out more tracks at Kutiman’s site, Thru You.
These mixes remind me of the VideoSongs by Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn of Pomplamoose. You’ll see every instrument or vocal part in the video somewhere.
To me, the big difference between Kutiman and Pomplamoose (other than style of music, of course) is that Kutiman is mixing from a bajillion video of questionable sound quality while Pomplamoose records at seemingly near studio quality. Both are awesome, but big kudos to Kutiman for making everything sound so clean and freakin’ funktastic regardless of the scattered and varied sources.
So, yeah.. I was going to bed, but then I had this great idea to upgrade WordPress and allmyfreakin’plugins. So I did. It was relatively painless but time consuming.
It seems WordPress now has tagging and other useful features I haven’t yet noticed! Exciting times, let me tell you.
Lastly, have some Hellsing Ultimate OVA 4 ending:
Generally, I don’t really care much for Nazis… but in marching catboy form? Yeah, I can dig it.
You march around that globe, Schrodinger. World domination is a-okay by me! *thumbs up*
So don’t change the dizzle, turn it up a little
I got a living room full of fine dime brizzles
Waiting on the Pizzle, the Dizzle and the Shizzle
G’s to the bizzack, now ladies here we gizzo
Yeah. I know. This is pretty much the coolest thing you’ve ever seen. No need to thank me.
