Some delicious musical items for your enjoyment

Interdisco is a netlabel based out of Switzerland. Their site says they release the music they like, and it just happens that I also like it quite a bit.

There’s an interesting mix of artists and music represented here. I would call it a sprinkling of electronica, some of it simplistic and downtempo, some experimental, with a dash of general indie sensibility thrown in for good measure. I honestly enjoy every track available on the site.

Here’s a few of my favorites:

8bitpeoples is a group of electronic artists that share a passion for classic video games and the music which can be derived from their hardware. It’s amazing what music you can make a Nintendo Gameboy spit out.

Here’s a trailer for the documentary Reformat the Planet by 2 Player Productions. It features a few 8bitpeoples artists doing what they like to do.

And a few tracks I like:

So, there you have it: The best music ever. Enjoy :)

Oh, Delux Circuit Bent Furby, how I love you.

Perhaps some light listening music…

Encore, encore!

Why did I ever throw out my old Casio keyboard? :(

This might be the coolest video I’ve seen all week. Inmates from a prison in The Philippines recreate Michael Jackon’s “Thriller” amazingly well.

edit: YouTube appears temporarily borked. Also, I removed the link to the site it was on, since the page occasionally loaded a trojan download o_O

An inspiring feet of useless complexity, eh?

Though I liked the video, I almost enjoyed the comments on YouTube even more. The battle of the “FAKE-callers” and the “FAKE-CALLING-RETARD-counter-callers” is an enjoyable display of internet internetting.

I’m not sure if I remember the movie quite like this…

Oh lawds, I gotta gets me a Wii. FYI, my current newest console is the SNES Sega CD (thanks for the correction, AJ :P Fucking Sewer Shark. I’ll never beat that game). I’m a little out of touch.

It helps if I type a title here

If you haven’t seen/heard Michael Richards’ (Kramer from Seinfield) racist diatribe, watch it first. Here’s two of the guys it was directed at in an interview on NBC, as well as a clip from Richards’ apology on Letterman.

But, personally, I enjoyed Paul Mooney’s interpretation most:

I’m not sure what to think. Maybe Richards just cracked?
